On Saturday, March 22 North River Marine in Marysville, Washington hosted a day of free fishing seminars focused on getting prepared for the Anacortes Blackmouth Derby, Spring Chinook and Off-Shore Tuna.
Following a live broadcast by Joel Shangle of Northwest Wild Country, over 350 people gathered for seminars by Captain John Keizer, Rob Endsley, Joel Shangle, Eric Linde and Captain Jay Field. The topics covered included downriggers, Salmon mooching, top locations to target summer’s King’s, albacore tuna fishing, halibut fishing and fishing the Columbia River and San Juan Islands.
Paul Castillo of Scotty Downriggers was available to answer questions on set-up, operation and maintenance and Brad Heacock of Lowrance Electronics brought his expertise on sonar performance and boat wiring tips.
