U.S. NAVY FP – LARGE

The U.S. Navy Harbor Security Boat / Force Protection Large (FP-L) is a high speed craft designed to protect lives, facilities, and equipment through Anti-terrorism / Force Protection operations.  Missions may include, but are not limited to, harbor and high-value asset security, embarked security protection for vessels unable to provide their own security, security for high-visibility events such as vessel commissioning and fleet weeks, and Anti-terrorism / Force Protection operations through perimeter security.

  • Enclosed cabin for crew, passengers, and MEDEVAC stretchers/stokes
  • Heating and air conditioning for occupant comfort
  • Aft Deck space for cargo, MEDEVAC stretchers/stokes, Gunners or personnel
  • Hybrid foam / air fender for hull protection, stability and flotation if swamped
  • 1 forward, 1 aft, and 2 (port and starboard) aft weapons foundations suitable for mounting MK93 mod 2 weapons
  • Overhead canopy for sun/weather protection
  • Twin Yamaha 250 hp or 300 hp four stroke outboard motors for propulsion
  • Triple outboard propulsion option available
  • Adjustable outboard motor crash / rope guard
  • Westerbeke 6.5 or 7.0 kW Genset available
  • Port and Starboard diver’s recovery ladder for dive or recovery operations
  • Complete electronics package, FLIR Thermal Imagining, Gentex Intercom, VHF and UHF radios
  • Law Enforcement emergency light and siren package
  • Loud hailing system capable of emitting distress and public service announcements
  • Combination of shock mitigating seats, personnel bench seats, work stations to accommodate a typical manned crew consisting of coxswain, navigator and crewmembers.  Additional personnel may include gunners or other security personnel.
