Position: Office Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To provide excellent administrative support to front and back office staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones, greet customers, and greet applicants
- Assist with special projects as instructed
- Communicate messages and direct incoming calls to the correct department
- Receive, sort and distribute mail – copy incoming checks
- Enter applications into the applicant spreadsheet for compliance tracking
- Order, track and organize office supplies
- Create new boat files and finish paperwork for delivery
- Post job listings and track open positions for Affirmative Action
- Identify and attend job fairs
- Organize and plan quarterly luncheons, summer Family BBQ, and Family Holiday Party
- Update memos and announcements for display on the big screens in the factory

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

- Must be able to communicate and work effectively with all levels within the company.
- Must be flexible, professional, reliable, and detail-oriented.

General Description:
Candidate will perform installation of outfitting components on North River Boats according to standard build sheets and work orders. Outfitting components include but are not limited to, outboard motors, controls, inboard motors, jet drives, deck hardware, fuel tanks, electronics, upholstery and canvas. Most of the necessary training will happen on the job. A good candidate will have a level of mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve. Extra consideration will be given to candidates who have experience in the marine industry, automotive mechanics, and basic DC wiring systems.
Essential Functions of the job:
- Proper Installation of all outfitting components including, but not limited to; outboard motors, controls, inboard motors, jet drives, deck hardware, fuel tanks, electronics, upholstery and canvas.

Responsibilities:
• Understand and efficiently carry out all aspects of the North River paint process for each model of boat
• Assist Painter Helpers in pre-cleaning and ensuring boats are properly prepped
• Read and understand all aspects of work orders
• Keep parts organized neatly
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Must use proper safety equipment for every specific task
• Maintain a high level of quality
• Work to maintain a productive and positive work environment by proactively communicating with your lead and other leads/supervisors in the paint department • Perform all other duties as assigned and appropriate to the position

• Must have a good working knowledge of North River manufacturing process
• Must have working knowledge of automotive paints
• Must ensure materials are being used efficiently with minimal waste
• Must know proper disposal procedures

Essential Functions of the job:
- Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings.
- Consults with supervisors regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards.
- Participate in designing special modifications to existing machinery or parts.
- Work with other members of the sales and production staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper format, correctness and logic in all drawings worked with or produced.
- Developing standard and custom parts as necessary
- Work with team members to create general layout drawing of project boats for approval
- Creates 2D and 3D boat build files for part development and production build book files
- Develop cost analysis and work to improve design to benefit customer and company
- Work with production to create drawings for outsourced parts and in house fabricated designs
- Provides manuals for Government projects under given specifications
- Create 2D part profiles for production
- Time will be split between drafting and boat design
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have working knowledge of CAD and drafting processes
- 3D design experience using Rhino 3D is preferred
- Marine design experience is preferred
- Experience in technical writing and manual assembly
- Must be able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of personnel
- Must maintain a high standard of design quality and accuracy
- CAM experience is preferred
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures for aluminum manufacturing
